Which is the nicest beach in Bali?
BALI'S BEST BEACHES
Is Canggu Bali safe?
Like anywhere in Bali though, Canggu is a safe town as long as you are always aware of your surroundings. Canggu can seem disconnected as a town, with three main roads leading in and out. These roads are well maintained, but with many expats, locals, and tourists traveling in the area, they can become congested.
Is Canggu or Seminyak better?
The biggest difference between Canggu vs Seminyak is their surely their own little cultures. Canggu has a more laid-back surf and beach culture while Seminyak is upmarket and can be a more glam choice, if that's what you are after.
Short answer; Yes, there are sharks in Bali. There is a great deal of White Tip and Black Tip Reef Sharks around the reefs of Nusa Dua and Padang Bai, but they are pretty shy and no threat to humans. Bali is one of the safest places to surf, looking at stats and data available from surf spots around the world.
Bali has volcanic sand so it is not going to be white like in some other parts of Asia. Some beaches on the north and east coast are calm with blue water. But when there you are far from the action and bustle of Kuta/legian/Seminyak. Many (me included) prefer to be at Candi Dasa, Amed or Lovina.
Canggu. Just north of Seminyak, Canggu is becoming increasingly popular with families. Its reputation as one of the best places to visit in Bali with family is thanks to its quieter beaches, relaxed dining options and wide choice of family-friendly villas in Bali.
Dress and act modestly.
When paying a visit to a Balinese temple, both men and women are expected to wear shirts that cover shoulders and part of the upper arms. Flip-flops are perfectly acceptable, so long as the overall look is modest.
A Go-Jek from Canggu to Ubud will cost roughly 80,000 IDR. The drive takes roughly 1 hour 30 mins depending on traffic.
Uluwatu. Uluwatu has a thriving expat community, too. It is one of the more affluent areas in Bali with accommodations and attractions offering cliff-top views, beaches, and surf breaks. It is also where the famous Uluwatu temple is located.
