Does Jindabyne have snow?
Cheers. It rarely snows in Jindabyne. It does give you the flexibility of choosing either resort and is cheaper than staying up the top. Avoid staying near the pubs in Jindabyne, which can be very rowdy, esp on weekends.

The Best Places to See Snow in Sydney
10 snowiest Ski Resorts in Australia
Snow in Sydney is extremely rare. Jindabyne is the gateway to the Snowy Mountains and is a 6 hour drive south of Sydney. Snow can also fall in regional parts of New South Wales including the Blue Mountains, Orange and the Upper Hunter.
Largely because of prices, about 65% of snow-holiday makers in NSW choose to stay in Jindabyne, located ~35km (45mins) from the ski resorts, but if you can afford the extra to stay in Thredbo, it is a far nicer village & well worth the extra cost; - with Ski Kaos this is not such a lot.
The season opens on the June long weekend and runs until the October long weekend, with the best snow usually in July and August. Look for deals in the shoulder season or early bird deals, to save some money.

Strong cold fronts often push through the region in winter and snow is not uncommon in Cooma from June to August, however is generally light and rarely settles for more than 24 hours (due to the foehn effect brought about by its eastern location).
The latest Thredbo snow report shown below was updated on 29 Nov 2021.
